Hello, and welcome to All Things Radio Podcast 200
Jeff’s radio news for this week takes a look at the Personal People Meter ratings for March, as well as what’s happening on the street.
Jenny’s call letter and format changes for this week have lots of stations changing network providers and a few new stations signing on.
Walt’s Retro Radio 148 is a profile of WOLF AM 1490 in Syracuse, New York where Dick Clark got his start. Despite having only 250 watts of power, WOLF was a top 40 powerhouse in the ’60’s. This profile includes:
1. A montage of commercials and other production aired on W_O_L_F in 1955,
2. A brief aircheck of Arlene Dee, who in 1965 had to be one of the first women doing top 40 radio,
3. W_O_L_F banner lines on the half-hour and news at 55,
4. And a montage of W_O_L_F production samples.
